I graduated from Wellington High School in 1975 and went on to Cedarville University where I graduated in 1979 with a B.A. in education. I played four years of baseball and set numerous records which are still
standing today. I was a teacher and coach at the high school level for four years. I taught two years at Elyria Christian HS (OH) and was the head basketball coach. I moved to Scottsdale Christian HS in Arizona and taught there two years,
while also being the head basketball coach and head baseball coach.
In my two years in Arizona my basketball team made it to the final four in the state Division III and I earned coach of the year honors twice. I entered the financial
service business in 1984 and have been in that business for the past 20 years. I have specialized in estate planning the past seven years.
I have
been married to Joyce for 25 years (8-18-79) and we have three children. My son, Forest, graduated
from my alma mater, Cedarville University in May 2004 and is currently working with me in the business. He majored in Organizational Communications. He also played baseball all four years and broke a couple of the records that I had
previously held. I have a daughter, Jackie, who is a junior at Cedarville, majoring in graphic design. She also plays softball and was an all-conference selection as a sophomore. My youngest daughter, Carissa, is a senior at Wellington HS,
where she is an outstanding athlete as well. I was inducted into the Cedarville University Hall of Fame in 2001. I have worked for the Cleveland Browns since 1989 as a writer with Browns News/Illustrated and more recently with
clevelandbrowns.com. I am very involved as a member at Camden Baptist Church where I have served as a Sunday School teacher, as well as a deacon.
